Located in the hamlet of East Coulee At Ghost Town Cottage, life slows down just a little. Located 19km east of Drumheller along the Hoodoo trail, stay in a home from when "Coal was King". We are minutes away from the Atlas Coal Mine and the world famous Tyrell dinosaur museum.
Although referred to as a ghost town, East Coulee once boasted a population of over 3000. Now it is a friendly hamlet of approx. 150 people. Highlights of East Coulee include its 1930s style School Museum, a yearly music festival in May, and its location between the Atlas Coal Mine and the Hoodoo viewpoint. Exploration of East Coulee will also yield local artists, an antique shop, and the stunning scenery next to the Red Deer River.
We love our little cottage - a flashback to the 30s, but with all of the comforts of the 21st century.
